Ecological conservation is a matter affecting people’s wellbeing and the future of humanity. The loss of biodiversity and degradation of the ecosystem today pose severe challenges to the survival and development of mankind. As humans and nature are a community of life, protecting the eco-environment is a global common challenge and responsibility. While advancing the cause of socialism with Chinese characteristics in this new era, China has made unprecedented efforts in ecological conservation. A series of fundamental, ground-breaking and long-term work has been carried out to push for historic, transformative, and comprehensive changes to ecological conservation and eco-environment protection.
